Raindrop Benefit Tourney Aug. 9!

I hope you'll all mark your calendars to attend our first disc golf tournament fund-raiser! More details will follow as available, but here are the basics:
What: Raindrop Benefit Tourney
Where: George Ward Park (see map below)
When: Saturday, Aug. 9.
More info: The event is a Professional Disc Golf Association sanctioned C-tier disc golf tournament consisting of two rounds of 24-holes each. Times, entry fees, etc. will be posted soon!

A new friendship

Slate McDorman of the Lookout Mountain Heritage Alliance joined the April 12 board meeting of the HLRT, and gave a presentation about his group and their mission. We're very excited to meet Slate and learn about LMHA because we are both dedicated to preserving and protecting one of Alabama's most precious natural places. We hope to work with LMHA in the future to achieve our common goals, and feel this is the beginning of a wonderful friendship! Much thanks to the Alabama Rivers Alliance staff for getting us together!
